It's official, The house and senate have voted, and the president has signed on to extend the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers (those who have not owned a home in 3 years). What's more, the incentive has been expanded to include current homeowners too - If you have lived in your principal residence for 5 out of the last 8 years, you can qualify for up to $6,500 cash back from Uncle Sam.
